      Actually, compared to dealing with an iguana, a beardie is a walk in the park!
      And they are an excellant "starter" lizard.

      My dragons and iguana are in the same room, as are all my reptiles. They can't see into each other's cages but they do see each other when one or the other is out.
      But never at the same time.
      The beardies will beard up at the ig but she pretty much just ignores them. Then again the iguana is 10 years old and a lot bigger so she really doesn't see them as any sort of challenge to her supremecy! Beardies are pretty docile but every now and again you come across one that is a bit feisty.
      But those are the exception, not the rule.
