I was just wondering what zoo you work at cause in a post you left about my retic you said that there many animals offered to the zoo and I was wondering where you were cause a few of the ones mentioned I have been looking for and I would rather get one that needs a home than go buy one at the pet store

Thank you! Is your water dragon a female?

Hi Dragoness, just wanted to let you know the hognose gave me a beautiful shed the other came off him like a sock without a single tear bless him :). Now he's back to his usual nosy self lol
    6. legalcmf
Yep, I can see what you mean. I think I got lucky with my hog...i've been doing some research and have read some problems people have had. I'll keep you updated on him if you like.
    7. legalcmf
It was around the 20th January, so not that long. He's definitely a little trooper, and looks really cute when he fans his neck out like a mini cobra lol
    8. legalcmf
He's eating baby mice and I've not had a problem so far. The only difference with him, is that he doesn't strike and constrict, he hunts it down as we move it around the box with tweezers. If you dangle it right in his face he'll hiss, but so far, no problems at all. He's due to go into a shed now though, so I don't doubt it'll change :D

I only aquired this Boa last year as a rescue. She was being housed in a 20 gallon tank, no heat, and was being fed live prey. I have no idea how old she is, though i wish I did. lol
    10. Rich
That is where our Boas are different. Mine is 6.5 feet long, but she is also 19 lbs. lol
    11. Rich
Mine is eating 3lb rabbits now. It doesn't take them long. How much does yours weigh?
    12. Rich
I didn't realize you commented on my gallery image. The gallery doesn't send notices! (I need to write something so it sends a PM I guess.) You asked me how long my Boa was. She is currently 6.5 feet long and growing.

I'm so sorry! What a horrible experience for both of you! The guilt is never ending (just like parenthood!). I think all veterinarians do routine cleanings ann extractions. I worked for one who even did fillings. We had to refer a sheltie for orthodontics. I also know that some specialized endodonics (root canals).
    14. LovetheBaruu
Not crazy! I have heard of chiropractic for pets (animal crackers).

You are a brave one! There are several birds listed for free on our local CL. So sad that people don't/can't commit to responsibility. And, at the opposite end of the spectrum, I knew a dog with a pacemaker!
    16. LovetheBaruu
Cool pics (work), "he's a real case." That's your answer!! Male!! They are so cute until you live with them (oh-oops- did I say that outloud?!). One of my nieces attends UCF!
    17. LovetheBaruu
Wow!! Whose bird? Babs is so sweet, she lives at a park during the summer and is fostered during the winter-not our bird.
    18. Lucysfriend
You brought up a very good point about how LONG turtles live so I am thinking about that. Thanks. :)
But then again I could die any day noone knows how long they will live, lol.
I shouldnt talk of such things LOL

Well, other than the latin name, why is it called a Miss. map turtle? Does it look like a map of the state of mississippi or the miss river or what? I've never heard of it.
