Savannah suggested I use a heating pad under the tank to help with humdity...

I'm having a hard time with it though.. I don't think it's getting warm enough. I have it under my tank, I even cut a hold in my reptile carpet to get direct access to the heat. I put the big kitty little pool over the heating pad figuring I'd get better results than putting it over the big heavy water dish.
But nothing!!! I came home, and humidity was at 55%!!!!
Any advice as to how to get this to work for me? So many people have success with this.. WHY CAN'T I!?!?!

Besides the Under Tank Heater, what else can I try? I've heard a lot of people putting an air stone into the pools.. does that work?

I've researched the skin issue thing and decided to try some aloe vera. After searching ever drug store, I found an all natural no alcohol aloe and hopefully that'll work. I'm going to continue soaking her and using the shed ease stuff..
*sigh* my poor Scarlett..

Ughhh I cant believe your humidity still isnt up!! Airstone will work itll help evaporate the water to create humidity. Try putting a basking light over the water dish, is the waterdish filtered? and do you have any substrate in the bottom of it?

You can also try covering half the tank lid with a towel or foil.

Thejoie, I had the same problem for the longest bloody time. Basically, I mist a lot, and I do cover half of the tank with a moist/sopping wet towel. Helps a lot

Good luck!

I really have no idea what I am talking about... But have you ever tried those water fall thingys? They are quite pricy, but are supposed to work.
