They do it because they feel threatened all 3 of my Chinese Water Dragon do it..and they go up to 15 mins when they want too

what are they frightend for they just do it outta the blue here

I instantly fell in love with Chinese Water Dragon's because they seem to enjoy being handled. They're fairly soft for a reptile. They're quite comical when they run on their hind legs. They love to climb (especially from my hand to my shoulder.), swim (they'll even swim under water and play dead under water!), they can jump pretty far, and they can just chill out with ya. Most lizards don't like to be petted but mine seem to enjoy being petted on the head and being rubbed under their chin. Finally, they're cute when they're young and they look bad-ace when they're older, but they'll always be your pal, as they seem to trust you at a very young age.

Thanks karamu8201! That's exactly the stuff I Was looking for...Geckos seem to like they're head rubed to and that's so cute that they can walk on their hind legs I like how Skittles seems to trust me and comes out and gives me the curious george look then collapses and goes to sleep

I fell in love when I realized that they kinda look like miniature dinosaurs

the fact that they actually look a little like a dragon (story book kind) minus the wings is cool too.

that's why I'm getting a Bearded Dragon soon too... I saw a pic of a grown up one and almost fell over. It's EXACTLY what I thought a dragon would look like.
I was at this place called Reptile World last night and they had this dragon called the Webber's Sailfin Dragon..and that's a pretty cool looking dragon as well.
*sigh* I love me some dragons
