My name is Joie. I'm a first time reptile owner! I went to Petco and saw a Chinese Water Dragon and absolutely was enchanted. The looked like little dinosaurs. I waited, researched, and found a reptile store (not Petco) and got my little Scarlett from there. And she's been my little girl for about a month now. She's only about 10 inches.
I took her to the vet and she was treated for parasites. Now I think we're doing a lot better. She gets moody about food- one day eating nothing and the next about 8 crickets! She also loves it when I feed her. I usually feed her out of the tank or I'll hand feed. She's taken really well to that and I like it too because it helps our trust issues.
I love taking care of her. My recent purchase was a ultrasonic humidifier forher to help maintain humidity.
I can't wait for her to get BIG!! I've been looking into building her a big enclosure eventually. But for now, she's in a 50 gallon tank. I have tons of branches in there for her, and a big water dish that she loves to hang out in. It's a ton of fun! But I just wanted to introduce me and Scarlett Take care!

Wow! Sounds pretty spoiled! Congrats on the purchase, Scarlett sounds like one happy WD!
