he is so small. I can't imagine him able to eat a pink. I am about ready to try it though he needs to eat.

i think i'll try those 1 gram pinks! it'll get my WD's in the habit of eating them, and give me a little experience feeding them. i don't think I have to worry about my pacman eating them, he'll eat a shoe if I wave it in his face!

I agree with the idea of not feeding him for a day and then offering him a food item ... perhaps the pinky you were discussing. Actually sometimes the only way to get a dragon to eat it's first pinky is to make sure it's very hungry before you offer it- otherwise they turn their noses up at new food items.
You said you were giving the dragon the slurry at night so that he would hopefully eat on his own during the daytime ... I'm not so sure feeding at night is a good idea. the cage is cooler at night once the lights are out so the dragon might not be digesting the food as well as it should, and therefore not getting all the nutrients it needs from what you've been offering. If you continue to give the dragon the slurry try giving it first thing in the morning.
Have you tried offering the dragon earthworms? First timers like them broken in two or three pieces ... big long worms scare them.
how about throwing a cricket in the water area? Sometimes dragons that haven't been eating well get very excited by crickets struggling in the water and end up eating them.

oh I hadn't even thought of the temp dropping at night! good point! I'll stop doing that. I will try the cricket in the water. He at least likes to watch wiggly things. He seems to think the worms are some sort of entertainment, not really food. He watches them wiggle around and will even follow them but doesn't eat them.
Earthworms? I will try those too. I will try anything at this point. his weight, colour and activity level seem really good - however that's with me syringe feeding his spoiled butt. Would be nice to not have to syringe (turkey baster?) feed a 3 ft dragon someday!

One of my water dragons only eats crickets if they're trying to swim. So your dragon might be the same way.
