There wasn't really an intro - more like me posting 110 questions after I got Lee. I got him at Petco about 3 weeks ago, maybe 4. They gave me completely incorrect info on how to care for him, his habitat, etc so it took me awhile to figure that out. I got him on a Saturday and by the next Friday he was at the vet because I had a feeling something wasn't right. Turns out he was severely dehydrated and malnourished - he hadn't even attempted to feed himself in about 5 days.I kept going back to Petco and even Petsmart to ask for advice and they kept saying he will eat eventually. Nope. So the vet injected some water "bags" into him and sent me home with instructions to give him a little sauna bath about 3x a day and syringe feed him babyfood. After 2 or 3 days of that and me getting the correct lighting and temps he seemed to really bounce back. he was chowing down on crix and mealworms, even a couple of waxworms. He was getting spunky, etc. Then about 2 days ago its like he "crashed" for lack of better word. He just lay there. Made no attempt to move and I noticed his right eye was goopy and appeared to be sealed shut. He had also stopped eating and the babyfood and sauna's didn't seem to be working. By Thurs he was making zero attempt to open either eye and looked awful so that's where we are. I took him to the vet and haven't heard anything. They just said to call back in an hour and they will put the vet on the phone.
