What should I lower the humidity to, it's staying at about 70 lately and is there any other ways to raise the heat in the cage safely?

By the way, Chidori is going to see the vet today, wish her luck. I'm nervous. I hope she'll be ok, is there anything else I should have them check while she's there to get my moneys worth?

maybe you can get her checked for parasites..that could never hurt lol GOOD LUCK!! maybe lower it to 60 and as far as raising the temps safely I would suggest a under tank heater i have one and it works great, put it under the water bowl to heat the water too...i have my munsters water heated to about 83 deg good luck..again!!

The vet did what he could now it's up to me to keep the temps hot and yes you all were right it was a resperatory infection. I put an extra light over the cage, only a 60 watt so it won't be too much heat and it made it a perfect 88 degrees in there in the middle heat area. So I think that will help a lot, I've had a 150 watt ceramic heater that I'm using at night and I use a regular 150 watt basking bulb during the day. Let's all hope that she comes through this well.

Maybe I'm jumping the gun on excitement but I really think that Chidori is getting a little better. She seems to be breathing easier and a bit more active now. I hope it all turns out good for her. I'll keep you updated.

The humidity should be 70- 80%. lol I'm sure that was a typo. Sorry if I repeat things here. I haven't been around much and kind of jumping in.
Day temps 84-88 (temp gradiant) with a basking of 90 and night no lower than 75. With a URI you may want to raise day and night temps by 5 degrees to make sure they stay warm. I was skimming the posts and saw you said you have a Ceramic Heat Emitter but it's still not warm enough. Ceramic Heat Emitter's get very hot. I wonder if this one is faulty. Ceramic Heat Emitter's ususally need to be on a thermostat so they don't get *too* hot. What size is your viv? Do you have 2 basking spots? This could cause the agression you were mentioning although you don't really hear about that with hatchlings. With 2 babies you will need 2 of everything otherwise they may compete for the "best" spot. I don't necessarily agree with under tank heaters. If it's a glass viv you have then the Under Tank Heater can crack the glass and have been known to cause fires. Heat should come from above as it does in nature. This is my opinion though. I'm glad to hear your little one is starting to feel better.

Doing better

Chidori is really starting to liven up today, she is even showing a lot of interest in food too. There is a lot of aggression between the two lizards and it may be due to competition for best basking spots. I put in another LunarBrite light over them which is currently keeping the tank in the upper 80's which is good for now because they need it hot in there round the clock till Chidori fully recovers. She is now keeping her mouth closed almost all the time and her breathing is looking a LOT less labored. The humidity is starting to be a little more tricky since I put in the second light, it goes from 55% to 70% to 60% to 80% it's going to take some tweeking to figure out the right arrangement for now.

Things are going as well as can be expected and I'm expecting a full recovery from Chidori, now getting the two to get along...that's another matter. For now, they must be caged together, they stopped biting but I have to keep Sousuke out of sight when Chidori is feeding.

Thanks everyone for the great advice.
