Good news and bad for shock...
Ohk....good news...the abscess is not big enough to do any damage, as long as its not alloewd to grow he will be fine, so hes on antibiotics
the vet said he prob wont have to get it drained cuz the antis will take care of it....now the bad news...if it does need to be drained my vet wont do it because hes really small and the abscess is in a position that if he were to make the incision a little too big he coud die... prey it dosnt have to be drained and that the antibiotics do the job!!! |

Good luck! At our clinic we almost always lance abcesses, most of them have thick pus in them that would be hard to get out with a smaller gauge needle, you'd need like a 10 gauge needle do get some of them cleaned out well.
Keep us posted!
