Safe to Say Skittle has outsized Pooka

Hey all,
I posed a question to my mailing list this weekend and wanted soem more feedback. Some background first. I have had Pooka since she was a hatchling (she was about 5 or 6 inches long when she came home with us) and 6 months later got Skittle at young juvinile (he was 8 inchs long when he came home with us). So at the time Skittle came to live with us Pooka was 13 or so inches long almost 2 times his size. As you will see from the pictures below Pooka has always been the larger more dominant dragon. Well Skittle is now larger then Pooka. It seems like it happened practically overnight but so many of his characteristics are tending towards the male side and he is becoming a huge monster. See for yourselves and let me know some of your thoughts, also enjoy the baby pictures

Wow....what a change....some of my bearded dragons do the same thing. Even hatching at the same time, I tend to always have one that is twice the size of its siblings. Awesome pics. They are very photogenic.

How big are both of the dragons now? Skittles has really grown. Is Skittles the more dominant dragon now? If so Skittles is probably eating a bit more of the food supply than Pooka.

Love the second picture. Looking at your dragons they both look female to me- that's why I was wondering how big they are right now.

Both Dragons come in at 21 inches last measurement (last week). Skittle was maybe 21 and 1/8 from nose to tail tip and Pooka was just maybe 1/8 of an inch under 21. I have not taken a snout to vent measurment for Pooka lately but Skittle comes in at about 5 & 3/4 or 6 inches snout to vent.

The power struggle seems to be subtle at this time. Pooka was always the big lizard on campus but now seems to just be content with Skittles company. There have been times she would charge him if he wandered into her favorite spots but those times have passed. Now it seems he spends more time in her favorite spots then she does and she wanders the room. I have seen no bobbing or waving in some time and no charge attempts or flight attempts due to proximity of one another.

Skittles is indeed the bigger eater, he has also stopped giving a submissive gesture when he eats. In the past he would do a very shallow and slow deliberate bob before eating and take his time before eating as if he was giving pooka the chance to steal what she wanted before he stopped to feed. That is long over with now, he eats whatever wiggles as fast as he can. They both eat about the same amount when they eat but Pooka will skip a day or feeding once in awhile while Skittle hardly ever misses any feeding times.

I know its still early to tell but I am hoping that if he is indeed male that some of these early comparisons might be useful for determing sex with future owners. Skittle is much more differently shaped physically then Pooka and like I said documenting the differences now and untill he is confirmed could be helpful for others one day. Anyhow, I'll try to get a snout to vent measurement on Pooka and I should get updated weights this Friday when we go to the vet. Thanks for the replies all.
