I've been trying to prevent my water dragon from rubbing its snout on its tanks walls, I've papered the sides, but it still didn't prevent all the rubbing unless I was to cover 100% of the tank.
While I was away at camp it seems that my WD must have bunged her snout a good one , and she seems to have developed mild mouth rot.

I would like to know what I need to have done( medications, further prevention, and pre vet prep ) I've only got a $50 budget, soo if you could tell me what dosages of what meds I could take it to a local vet without going bankrupt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

im sorry that no one has responded to this. mine had it slightly when she was little. honestly there is not much a vet can do, or not that I have heard. i put bacitracin/neosporin on it and I have noticed that it will heal faster. do you let yours out? hold or free roam it? it usually means that they want out. or your enclosure has become too small for it. i had to get a bigger one for her.

You need to take your WD to the vet cus he/she can do alot...2 of mine had mouth rot and it is all gone now, mouthrot can further progress and couse alot of damage to your dragonand if you leave snout damage to ''heal'' itself it can go into their bones and cause alot of damage, please get your dragon to the vet soon...all of mine have had snout damage and the vet will give u med. for it, same with the mouthrot

I really hope that your dragon is ok now, I know it's been a long time sinse you posted this and I'm terrably sorry that nobody got back to you on that. I hope you took your Chinese Water Dragon to the vet and got that taken care of.
