2) Give him a few days to chill out, closer to a week. Work inside his tank. After about a week, put your hand at eye level, then move it slowly toward the dragon. If he lets you, pet him gently, if not, try again the next day.

3) You can put females together, just don't put males together. Tricia houses 4 females together, and at one point, a male as well. If you haven't already, read over her site: Tricia's Chinese Water Dragon, Reptile and Amphibian Care Page (Water Dragon care, Reptile care, Amphibian care)

4) Dividing depends on entirely on how you're planning the final enclosure. I'm building a 6wx3dx6h, and used a shower liner to build the pond side, will probably use another for the substrate side.
I have him in a 30 Gallon tall & long right now (He's got a ton of room in there right now, he's still really small), I'll be switching him into a 55 Gallon long, extra tall in 2 weeks (Still waiting on everything to be built) that'll be adjusted to his growth (You add levels to it), like I did with my Bearded Dragons. I have a ZooMed Powersun UV 100Watt bulb in a reptile light, has both UVB, UVA, and heat. For a substrate I have ECO Earth and Cypress mulch in his habitat. He has a good level of humidity stays between 80-90%. As of right now he has two hides, that tree log cut in half hide, and a hide under a log (has a ton of plants around it). I have a good size tree stump with branches thing that I got from Petsmart, theres also a couple logs/sticks for him to walk/lay on, along with plant clings on the back wall of the habitat for him to climb around on. I have a special made habitat cover right now, I don't really know how to describe it but the people I talked to told me not to have a screen top (like I do for some of my other reptiles) because I wouldn't be able to keep the right amount of humidity. I can't take pictures right now, but when I can, I'll definitely be posting some
He seems to be doing a lot better, he's a lot more active, and even though is still not sure if he wants to be held, he loves to be pet. He does like to move everything around in his habitat that he can (plants, substrate) and then he'll watch me pick up the plants he knocked over and moved around, and put them back.. Not sure if that's normal or not?
