Waterdragons do get quite large and the bigger the cage the better.They are known for jumping into the glass.
They need a large swimming area and a lot of branches to clime on!! But look at the caresheet,or go to yahoo or google to find more about them. Before buying an animal,make sure you get all the information and the set up ready,and always check the adult sizes of each animal! Waterdragons do need a high humidity,which sometimes isn't easy to maintain! Here in Europe,the minimum cage size for a pair is 180cm (6') long, 90cm (3') deep and 200cm (8') high!! To prevent them jumping into the glass,put some plants in front of the glass,and cover the back and the two side walls.The watertank should at least cover 40-50% of the floor area!! They also like lots of plants to hide in it! |
