This is what our member has to say: Can we use polysporin instead of neosporin? It's made by the same brand....

Re: Polysporin?

If its triple antibiotic like Neosporin it should be ok.
What are you using it for?

Re: Polysporin?

Polysporin isn't a triple antibiotic. It contains 2 of the ingredients found in neosporin. Neosporin is actually better as it attacks a larger spectrum of bacteria.

Thats not exactly true. Rubbing alcohol and peroxide should be avoided with reptiles as they are cytotoxins. They kill both the good and bad bacteria. This is especially true with sores and abrasions near the mouth.

Re: Polysporin?

Yes but blanket statements can be unintentionally misleading and misunderstood.
We try to avoid that.

Re: Polysporin?

Also, for some critters, the neosporin + pain killer is fatal. It is in frogs. Regular neosporin is just dandy though.
