Chinese and Australian Water Dragon Live Together?
Hi,
Do you know if a chinese water dragon and an australian water dragon can live together (provided they don't have the same sex to avoid territorial conflict)? Have you heard of somebody who have tried and the result ? Thanks in advance, Cyril. ![]() |

Re: Chinese and Australian Water Dragon Live Toget
Welcome to HerpCenter.
Its generally not a good idea to mix species. Especially those from different parts of the world.

Re: Chinese and Australian Water Dragon Live Toget
Just because its a male and female doesn't mean there won't be territorial conflict. They don't really like each other, and one may stress the other one out to the point where the health of the other is compromised. Remember, in the wild they mate and then go their separate was. Not forced to live in a 4 x 8 foot box together.

Its most generally the very advanced keepers and breeders who have screened their animals, treated prophylactically, and know that there are no health problems as well as having an intimate knowledge of their habits and husbandry, who can pull off a multi species setup.
