How cold can it get at night?
Hey,
I have a home-made enclsoure for my chinese water dragon's and, I've noticed during the night it gets pretty close to 69 on the thermometer. Do I need to buy a ceramic heat bulb? I took some pictures of my two females iggy and zues. Zues went to the vet about 5 days ago and found out she had a big amount of parasites. I hope after the next visit she'll be good to go. Also if you notice shes had that bad shed over her nose for like 2 months, should that be something that I should just start trying to remove? Because I increased the humidity in there with the airstone and new filter, also I mist in there quite a bit, so I'm not sure if its the humidity now... Here's iggy, my first chinese water dragon. ![]() ![]() Here is some of their tank. ![]() ![]() ![]() and heres zues, my 2nd chinese water dragon ![]() |

Re: How cold at night?*pictures*
Ill see if I can buy a small heater today to last for a few days until I get paid...and I will have to try that, it looks like her mouth is always cracked open...and I think its because of the shed over her nose

yeahh, its not that wide. The dimensions are 5ft tall x 4 ft long x 2 ft wide. I built it in about 4 hrs and it was my first build, so I doubt itll be their last enclousure!
an ariel view before I got that one flowering plant from my mother, i had to beggg for it a view from the front left corner, still before the plant was there heres a shot of the front right after I built it....the tank weighs close to 200 pounds ![]() thats where the flowering plant is now situated ![]() |

It gets the job done for now....I was in a rush when building it and I had to make it fast, so I didnt stain or do anything to it besides measure once and cut once....and lets say some of the measurements are off
I just cant wait till I make another one and take some timeee measuring and cutting and staining and protecting the wood... |

That is what I was going to ask you about. That chipboard will rapidly deteriorate in the presence of moisture.
And if you didn't know already, the flower is a hibiscus.

Re: How cold at night?*pictures*
Thats a great amount of space! I bet they are happy.
For heating, i picked up a heat emitter from reptileuv and it works great. The outside doesn't get hot enough to burn you, its only 60 watt, but it produces enough heat to be a 120 watt. My critters love it. Mega-Ray HP - 60 Watt Heat Projector - ReptileUV
