Fluker's.
10 inches away from her.
She has improved so much since I did this that I figured that vet knew her stuff

Re: New to water dragon housing

You need to go for a different bulb.
That coil was desgned around small lizards with low UVB requirements. At 10 inches even with a fresh bulb (they have to be changed every 6 months) there is very little UVB light reaching her. I would move up to a Megaray mercury vapor. If you choose to continue with flourescents you need to go with a two tube fixture with a couple of ZooMed Reptilight 5.0's

Re: New to water dragon housing

Hey Merlin - if you take a peak at my profile photo gallery - you will see my rescue Zoey. She has severe snout damage and is missing part of her jaw. I am putting neosporin on their daily and so far no infections or rot... but, I wanted to know if you had anything to share on this? She has had the snout damage for about a year from what I know but I have only had her since August of this year. Thanks.

Re: New to water dragon housing

Sorry but I have no experience with snout damage like that. Have you talked to a vet about it?
