The strangest thing...
So now that my water dragon "should" be old enough to sex... I turned him gently on his back to check out his pores... The strangest thing happened... He didnt freak out... didnt fight me he was like oh ok mom... while I was looking at his pores... He fell asleep... I was able to let go, and let him lay on his back in my hand... and he stayed like that till I got worried and turned him back over... anyone got a clue what thats about?

Re: The strangest thing...
When they are flipped onto their backs it puts pressure on their lungs. Its not a good thing and could kill them.

Re: The strangest thing...
Lizards do not have diaphragms.
Holding them on their backs cuts off their air supply.
Not a good idea.

Re: The strangest thing...
No problem. I suspect that most of us who spent our childhood harassing the local fence lizards discovered the sleeper trick.
We didn't know the cause then either.
