Baby Food a success
I just wanted to let everyone know that I tried the organic baby food idea to make sure that our wd was getting calcium where he didnt like the crickets and it was a great success! And we tried him with some gutloaded earth worms and he absolutely loves them as well. a few pieces of carrot seemed to really spark up his interest. Thanks so much for your help everyone. I have some new pictures that I will post soon as well.
p.s. Sorry it took so long for me to post again on the site, lost the internet for a little while. D-Link died on us lol. |

Re: Baby Food a success
We always find babyfood to be a great persuader for helping the reps get their appetites back, and keep them from dehydrating along the way. We add some calcium supplement and app stim to it, and it usually works well. Good luck!

Re: Baby Food a success
I'm glad that little tip was helpful. When mine was being picky about the veggies - I had to get creative and the organic baby food with added calcium, etc. really did the trick. I shared this info with my reptile guy - he had not heard of it either but thought it was clever. When I took Emmie into see him at Petsmart - he told me she was very healthy and very beautiful. I felt very proud - she was my first WD and knowing that I was doing a great job with her made me very happy. So, I went ahead and took in Zoey (my rescue with severe snout damage). I would not have felt confident in doing so - had it not been for his encouragement. Both girls are terrific these days. :0)
