Love WD's and Basilisks
When I decided to try something "bigger" my first idea and want was Basilisks, I think their toes and bodies are just the coolest. I couldn't find what I was looking for at the time, and saw water dragons. I fell in love with a couple, I didn't know it at the time, but they had slight respiratory infections that became worse quickly and they ended up dying, The store person said they had been vet checked, but when they found out they had died said I was sold them by error and that they hadn't yet been vet checked to be sold and that the guarantee didn't count. My second pair was doing great until I took in a rescue with mouth rot, even though he was quarantined in another room, it spread. I thought I was winning the battle but it ended up taking them all out, between that and the antibiotics. My vet tried. I now have the basilisks I always wanted, and they are so cool. I've had them about 4 weeks now. The one loves the water tank and swimming, branch climbing and is quite friendly. The other is not as friendly, doesn't care for his water tank much. although he likes to climb in the branches and hide in corners, he eats well though. The very active friendly one will climb on your hand, and likes to check out everything. The other one prefers you to let him be. I've downloaded every care sheet I could find for two years on Chinese Water Dragon and basilisks, but any other info is always appreciated. I feel I am always learning, and will never "know it all". Thanks for letting me talk on.
