Re: UVB Lighting ??????

If you are sure you can get one by Sunday, then your dragon should be fine that long without one. Do you have a cage or something you can put it in the sun for like 30 min day, that would work to.

Re: UVB Lighting ??????

Have you gone to Port Credit Pet Center? It's just outside of Mississauga. They have just about anything and know their stuff.

Re: UVB Lighting ??????

well I know for a fact I could have one by sunday!!! i have a huge critter keeper which I transported them in but I am not sure if that is ok to put in the sun as it may heat up fast????
the bulb I would be getting on sunday would be the same as the broken one and I was just wondering if that bulb is sufficient???as I have never heard of VitaLite and it was significantly cheaper than the one I was looking at today

Re: UVB Lighting ??????

i have not yet been there!! you wouldnt happen to have their addy and # off hand would you??? i would prefer to call before hand to make sure they have what I need, but yet again port credit is only 10 minutes away( i live in meadowvale)

it is bothering me that they do not have uvb as I know it helps with digestion so I would prefer to get one before sunday!

Re: UVB Lighting ??????

Hello,

The 10.0 is the strongest, and that is the one you should get. Depending on your cage size, you could also look into a mercury vapor. The mv's emit much higher doses of uvb.

Re: UVB Lighting ??????

i was looking at the MV bulbs when I was first setting up my viv but as far as I know they only have them in the bulb style. i was also told the uvb bulb was to span the entire length of the enclosure meaning I would need 2 MV bulbs???.....
