Re: New WaterDragon Owner with ??????????

Goodness, that was hard to follow! I am not usually on this forum, but it is a slow night, lol.

From what I have gathered, you got two new cwds and put them in a 75 gal tank, with 2/3 water and you bought specific bulbs b/c you were told to.

How old are your dragons? How long are they, tip to tip? From what I was able to gather, your tank is like 48" long, but about 20" high or something like that? If you are not able to immediately get a taller tank, like 5', then you can build a second story on top, using a hard wood or a soft wood that has been waterproofed and set out to dry for several weeks. They need height.

You should definitely re-arrange so as to have a water pool, not so much of the tank submersed. Too difficult to clean, and not enough land area for your babies. They will fight you know, if you do not have enough space for them - they need hides, basking areas, etc. If you are having a waterfall, I am sure you can re-do it to make it work until you get a larger viv.

Temps need to be 84-88 on the warmer side, and 90-95 in the basking area with basking spots for both and uvb within 12" at these locations. Night time temps can be 75-80. Get whatever bulbs you need to achieve this. You can even use regular household bulbs for heat.

I am afraid to even ask what you are feeding them, no offense or anything, but I am a bit overwhelmed in this forum. Wish I could help more . . .

Re: New WaterDragon Owner with ??????????

i am not sure how old they are.....i am assuming they are close to 6 months........and their length is also unknown to me as they are still not calmed down enough to get a measuring tape near them!!! they are close to 8 inches I would guesstimate.......my larger wd is also missing a good portion of his tail so cannot be too accurate when it comes to him

i feed them crickets, meal worms,a silk worm or two, goliath worm, pellets, i have tried a few greens, but not yet eaten any and a few little guppies
