Urgent CWD Help

Hi,

can anyone give me some advice, a couple of days ago one of the thermometers in the viv fell, bounced off the the background and landed on my dragon (from a height of about 5") he was not happy and got really stressed, went almost black. I have been watching him over the past few days and his colour is back to normal and he is eating & drinking without a problem but now he will not climb unless it is at the back of the viv where no one can see him and he is very listless. He is in the middle of shedding and am concerned the stress of that + the shock of the thermometer hitting him has done something serious.

Any suggestions?

Re: Urgent CWD Help

Did you mean a height of 5 inches or 5 feet? I can't see that a 5" drop would do much. I can't really say much on that issue.

yes was 5 inches, I wouldnt think it would have been a problem but he is behaving really weird since the incident. Could be just stress but still very subdued and now it is starting to worry me a little

Re: Urgent CWD Help

Has anything other than the 5" drop occured recently? Has his enclosure been moved, new decor, etc.? I too don't forsee how a 5" drop would cause much damage unless it struck his eye or something.

The fact that he is eating and drinking normally though says that anything that may have happened wasn't too severe.

Re: Urgent CWD Help

thanks for the feedback, nothing has happened before and the only change was I'd added a fogger, just hours before the thermometer falling maybe this hasn't helped.

Re: Urgent CWD Help

The combination of the 2 may have stressed him out. Is the fogger producing a visible "fog" near the front of the enclosure? Maybe it is producing air pressure? That could be why he is choosing to climb from the back.
