This is what our member has to say: hi guys I was just wondering I was on before about those annoying little insects and I think the bark I keep getting I contaminated ...

hi guys I was just wondering I was on before about those annoying little insects and I think the bark I keep getting I contaminated wth these

what if use a large bedsheet instead of bark would this be a good idea or bad bare in mind this is for my Chinese Water Dragon I think that would be more comfortable

You mean an actual sheet from a bed? They do tend to shed fibers, so it might not be the best thing for them, but I'm not sure. I never thought about that before.

But I do agree you need to get rid of the bark! Try paper towels or newspaper. It's some of the cleanest substrate, easy on the water dragon, easy to remove and replace. You could also try a flat rock or tile as the substrate.

I agree a bed sheet would not be a good choice. Typh gave good examples of tile and paper towel. You can also try non stick shelf liner easy to clean and such.

There are a couple of problems inherent with the beedsheet. If the dragon gets itself tangled up, say by catching a claw in it, It could easily injure or kill itself in the struggle to get free.
Also in the constant high humidity and heat the sheet would most likly mildew
