Ok I know there are several posts on picking a mate for your dragon, but I have a special dragon. Duke is 3-4 yrs old, but when he was a juvenile he was kept in way to small of an enclosure. He some snout damage and is missing about 1 1/2 in off his tail as well as having old fractures at the base of his tail. He is only about 18 in long from snout to tail. My question is this. We are hopefully going to be getting an enclosure that is 8 ft tall, 3 ft deep and 5 ft long. Is that large enough to put another dragon in with Duke. I want to get a juvenile that is smaller than Duke so that he can start out dominant, since the juvenile will soon out grow Duke. Should I even attempt a mate since Duke is so scarred already, or should I leave him as a lone lizard. Here are some pic's of him. Sorry they aren't the best quality.

If he has issues, I would leave him by himself. But, if you do decide to get a mate, she needs to be similar in size. You dont want the whole domination thing. When introducing, you should change the cage furniture around so dominance doesnt take place and they start on equal ground. The tank size you are stating is big enough for at least 4 dragons, but they need to be all females unless you plan on breeding
