CWD's leg swollen.

First let me say that I know I post quite a few health questions which end up being nothing at all, and I really appreciate all the help that you guys provide, but now Im worried again..

My chinese water dragon has been living outside from 9AM until 11PM in the new cage I built for him for about two weeks now. Before that I had him under a MegaRay UVB lamp from ReptileUV. Lately he hasnt been eating my food, but he has been pooping so I assume he is eating outside. While he is outside, he doesnt climb at all. He gets in and out of his water but he never climbs any of the plants, he just walks around. But his right thigh is looking swollen at least. I dont know if its an early stage of Metabolic Bone Disease which I understand can be treated if caught early enough. I only gave him a supplement of calcium and vitamins once a week or so because I thought that feeding his food powdered milk supplied them with the calcium, besides his UVB light (or if its where he was bitten by a spider or an ant). Heres a couple of pictures..

Oh, and since he's now outside, should I worry about mosquitos, spiders, ants, etc biting him? I know I need to get him a checkup soon to make sure that outside life agrees with him, but it may be sooner than later depending on this leg situation.

Thanks again for all your helps.

In case you didnt want to read all that, I think his right thigh is swollen. (I hope its only swollen)

It could be due to an injury, maybe from a fall, or an insect bite. If you have had him under proper UVB and giving calcium, I wouldn't think Metabolic Bone Disease right away. I would say a vet check just in case, not sure what to do for something like that.

Wait.. You think Metabolic Bone Disease right away even though he's under UVB and given supplements, or am I reading that wrong?

I agree with the vet visit....but as for the not climbing, I would think that probably with all the birds, and different things flitting about outside that he is just too spooked to climb around....good luck at the vets....
