this morning buddy did a poop in his water bowl but before he pooped something bright red come out like blood but my partner says there blood id blue should I be really worried about this

That doesnt sound normal, but, if he eats in the tank, he could have eaten a piece of substrate and had trouble passing it cause him to bleen a bit. If it continues, I would get a vet check.

yeah I will keep an eye on him he seems fine still his chirpy self but if there blood is red then passing blood is never a good thing so any other problems I will see a vet I need to find one which deals with reptiles

I don't know where your buddy got his information but blood is red.
Unless your dragon is an alien from another planet!
Did the red come out as a liquid or was it a flash of red and then went back inside the body?

Was it solid? Have you been feeding anything that was red in color (peppers etc)?

no not fed him anything red it was like soft and tiny like a pin head but I dont feed him peppers or anything else red

Hey, at one point I was convinced my water dragons were from another planet....but thats a topic for another time. Blood in the poop is not normal, as the others said if it continues a vet trip should be planned

blue blood? I don't think so. Last I checked once blood hits O2 its red, cold or warm blooded.

Keep an eye on him. watch his next poop. If it continues get him to a vet ASAP

hi all just a quick update this has not happened again so fingers crossed hes ok but he isnt eating much at all he did a poop the other day and it was fine so lets hope that panick is over . Thanks all
