I dont think that his 55gal tank is too small. But the glass is definitely reflective. Plus he is right next to the fish tank and he occasionally tries to get to them.

So how do I keep him from seeing his reflection?

Actually beleive it or not a 55 gallon tank is too small for everything but a small dragon.

SO, his hand never did shed. It never discolored either. In fact, it just turned green again. Wierd, eh?

Is it possible you did not see it shed ?
I have never heard of skin turning like that then clearing up without shed. Was it a gradual return to green or rapid ?

I too suspect the skin shed and you just didn't find it. Not sure if WGs will eat shed skin or not.
I know some geckos and my silly Bearded Dragons will.

My Bearded Dragon just had the same hand thing going on for about a week or so, today I saw it loosen up and start to shed.

None of my dragons ever ate their shed...and yes his snout will get worse if you allow it to. Have you tried putting paper around the outside of his enclosure so he dosnt see his reflection as much? This always helped my little ones to stop rubbing thier snouts against the glass.

Ah-ha. Its shedding off today. Whew. Thanks for the good advice, guys. I was pretty concerned there for a while.

This has got to be the most beneficial forum Ive joined to date.. on any subject.

Oh, Savannah, I already had paper along the bottom of the front. But I did put paper up on the side of the tank that faces the fish.
