water dragon question

OK So I've heard a lot of peoples take on the iguana: big, mean tollerates people.
if you had to put a thought into what your Chinese Water Dragon was thinking what would it be? Do you think at any point they actually like you or want to be around you?

I'm just wondering what I'd be getting myself into.

Have any fights with your wd?

Would it be possible to get one that doesn't bite?

I can't imagine skittles biting anything that wasn't worm. On the other side Joe will bite anything that's moving lol. I don't think Skittles minds being around me but doesn't seem to like mom. I think she likes the fact that I'm her cook cleaner at a moments notice and I really can't imagine her hating me considering she's out in the open and when I pick around in the enclosure she doesn't run for cover. And I don't think she hates being handled I think she's kind of curious about it and as I'm examining my little beauty she's examining everything lol

All animals will bite, not matter how tame you think they are. Water dragons are pretty laid back, they like to be handled and like to feel secure when being held.

I have found that my water dragon is stressed more easily than my iguanas. Im sure its different for other people...this is just in my case....but everyone is right, there is always a chance of getting bitten...

yes I realize that if it has teeth it can bite I wasn't asking that. Just wondering what for the most part a water dragons temperment is like. I know that there's all kinds I've heard about so many leo bite stories which blew me away. Just wondering the average temperments for the most part.

Like...If it did bite you what would the most likely reason be?

ok thats exactly what I wanted to hear. But how easily do they scare? Like I figured Leopard Geckos were pretty easily Scared because most I've met are pretty jumpy but Skittles seems to have problems. Even when I'm laying giant hides into the enclosure I can't get her to budge...I have to pick her up and replace her. Even when I'm filling up the water dish which she hates she'll run over to it to protect the dish from being watered and scream at me lol. She's only done that a couple times though. It's shallow and hard to fill without spilling unless I do it that way. I love my little weirdo.

I've had my CWDs over a year now and they have never attempted to bite me once. They would rather run than bite. They're more tempermental with their health then with their attitude I think.

I know what Beth is talking about but its hard to explain...hopefully she'll be back to answer it for you.
