Congratulations. I also have a water dragon and he has been in a glass tank since I got him (until recently). When I first brought him home he was in a 35 gallon tank. As he grew I put him in a 55 gallon tank. He has snout damage due to the face rubbing mentioned earlier in the thread. He is less than a year old and has already outgrown the 55 gallon. The 55 gallon is 4'x2' and ~2.5 high. I have since built him an enclosure outside that is 6'x6'x6'. Theres a thread on herphabitats.com, new cage .
Good luck, and definitely post some more pics! here's my guy, Sesshomaru (call him Maru) chillin in his new pad. He is 30-36" long incl the tail. Click to enlarge. ![]()

Ours have never touched veggies, accept for some fruit, they love live crickets, mealworms, a couple times we gave them pinkie mice (frozen), they love worms. and if you just got him, they adjust a few days, they don't like being caged, so they need a lot of room. I have pics on our website of our cage, its Home, just go to the water dragon section. I haven't updated it in quite a while, but the pics are there. They are so much fun, but use a lot of space for climbing, jumping, swimming, basking. Ours is all over the place, his favorite spot is basking under his bonsai tree. He blends in so you can never find him. Tap on the spot up top where we feed him and he flies up there ready for food. Good luck, they are an exciting lizard to own.
