Scarlet has always been my first reptile love.
The water dragons at Petco held my attention for hours. I joked with my sister that I was going to get one of those, when in reality, I had never even handled a lizard before.
I was as big of a Noob as they come.
Scarlet was definately wild caught. Looking back, that's the only thing I would have done differently. As a baby she was very skittish and almost didn't like to be handled.

Something I noticed since I've moved her into the big viv is that she LOOVES to watch me. Sometimes she just sits there on her shelf and looks at me. Or she'll go in between her pool and the glass and just watch.
Before, I used to have to pick her up and get tail-whipped as she freaked out.
Today, for the first time ever she seemed to want to be around me.
SHe was looking at me so I opened the glass door and started talking to her. I reached in to pet her and she didn't run away so I stroked her crest (which I think she loves especially now that it's growing a lot) and she put her front two legs on my hand and just let me pick her up!
We kinda watched each other for a while then I picked her up and moved her to a higher shelf.But she jumped down and is still watching.
Everyone says water dragons tame nicely, but I din't believe it. Scarlett seemed like a wild child. But I think there's hope for her still.
