Hello,

Its a good thing that is 3 seperate pieces. It would be extremely heavy if it were one unit.

guess its time for a wee update.

the whole thing is inside now.
the vertical poles on the front of the viewing area will be getting removed.
installed a bulkhead in the bottem and the drain piping is somewhat done. i also put most of the gravel in it already. before finishing with the gravel, i need to get the waterflow working good so it can be made level easily. already have a pump but need to get a few more bulkheads and bins to use as a res. am going to try and make the res have a 30-50 gallon capacity because I plan to build more vivs (like a rack of 10 gallon verts) and the one res will be used by all of them to cut down on space usage.

got some time to work on it yesterday:

installed the resevoirs. thiers only one in the picture, the other is to the right of this one. thiers 2 sterilight 16 liter bins connected with bulkheads and a 1" tube. the black thing in the bottem of the bin is the pump.

gravel added. still need to add a little bit more. the pipe is where the pond overflow will drain into the gravel.

removed the columns along the front and finished lining it

the pump is running and the water is circulating.
i hope to add the sliding door tracks to it tomarrow or monday.
will possibly add more gravel on monday aswell, then maybe start filling and landscaping it. although I would rather make the pond first.

Re: pic of the new viv i'm building.

wow, i haven't updated this topic in alomost a year...

i had removed all the gravel and put in a false bottem.
then started the landscaping:

then added the stream and tested it..

put a layer of cocofibre on the dirt and planted it....

it also has a canopy now holding duel 48" florescent plant lights.
those are somewhat older pics. most of the plants are still doing fine, some have died back, others have done good
