really uros like it REAL hot, about 120+ in the basking area, but they need a area of about 85 to retreat to if he gets too hot, as far as night time temps, can drop to about 68-70, mine drop to room temp and night, about 70...

I'd up your basking temp to at least 120 deg.The coolest side of the tank should under 90 deg.Night temps should drop to room temp around 70 deg. What were you told about humidity? I've heard people say it should be close to zero percent. That's just nonsense. You live in Ontario.Where abouts?

My humidity is usually around 40 as well. But then if measured near the basking site it virtually goes down to zero.I'm about an 1 1/2 southwest of Toronto close to Kitchener.

I remember when everyone said Sulcatas should be kept at zero percent humidity and now everyone has different opinion on it. This is pretty much the same fate for Uros. Sure they love a very hot basking temp, the hotter it is the prettier the animal I hear, however, underground where juveniles spend a lot of their lives and where adults spend some time as well. Underground and in rock crevices, humidity levels will of course vary but you can account for at least 30-40 percentage. If you would like I can break it all down for you tomorrow when I have more time but pretty much, zero humidity is why most keepers fail at breeding and a lot of times fail at keeping their animals alive. Don't buy the whole "My animal was infested.." Mine were infested and mine are very much alive.. Even with the people I gave them to.

Plus at a basking point of 115, humidity does not stand a chance, in which case allows the animal to completely "dry out"..
