Plants/flowers
hey, i was just wondering what kind of plants and flowers you guys feed to your uros. i know that they can have dandelions... but what are all the others?
also, do all these plants grow all year round? if they don't what should I use to replace them in their diet?..... i was just thinking about this as I read the thread hibiscus flowers.... i would have posted this there but I didn't want to take over that thread. |

Re: Plants/flowers
hybiscus flower and leaf , dandalion flower and leaf, hollyhock flower and leaf and stem, rose petals (not shure on leaf) and orchids pedals (not shure on leaf). also they normally eat most flowers in the spring and summer. i still feed my regular staple but I add more flower and leaf and cut a bit of the staple away. of course pesticide free!!!!

Re: Plants/flowers
Mother's Market, Whole Foods, Wild Oats and maybe your local store may carry them when they are in season.

Re: Plants/flowers
veggies from any store deffinantly shouldnt have pesticide on them , I sure hope not cause ive been eating it for a long time.
its the hibiscus and the roses and hollyhock and dandalion you have to worry about pesticed. Also if you feed anything like mando, squash or anything you have to cut, its better to shred it and add it too his food or hand feed it. just makes it eaiser to digest and as we all know a lizard that goes to the bathroom every day or two is a good thing. |
