Re: Getting My First Uro Tomorrow!
Im not positive, but the red one's "glands" protrude much more than the yellow one. They act as though one is male, and one female, but I guess I wont know for sure unless I have a clutch show up one day...lol

Re: Getting My First Uro Tomorrow!
I know it's already been mentioned, but aside from needing a larger enclosure as soon as possible, a mercury vapor light will suit your heat AND uvb requirements much better. UVB rays are needed by basking reptiles to survive, such as uromastyx. The rays are only given off by special bulbs designed to do it. If it doesn't say uvB, then it probably isn't one. "UV" isn't the same as UVB. Also, UVB lights need to be replaced every year, because although they'll still produce light and heat, the UVB output drops.
Speaking of heat, that's why I mentioned a mercury vapor light. Self-ballasted mercury vapor bulbs are the only light that will produce BOTH heat and UVB, eliminating the need for a separate appliance and concentrating the heat and UVB in one area for preferred basking conditions. Fluorescent UVB's aren't hot enough and only project the UVB rays up to around 12 inches. UVB rays also cannot sufficiently penetrate glass lids. Just a heads up, even though you already have a screen.

Re: Getting My First Uro Tomorrow!
i use the megaray 160watt sb and in the summer and spring that is the only bulb I have on and heat my basking area at 19" away to 127F. this of course takes about 2 hrs to get to this temp. air temp is 98-100 on hot site and 83-86 on the cooler side. (if you call 80's cool LOL) in the winter I just add a 60 watt house bulb and all is good again. I dont use anything for night time as it never drops below 75 in my place at night. I live in Florida.

Re: Getting My First Uro Tomorrow!
I have a Saharan myself and those look like they are both males, if their bellies are nice and yellow or orange/red, then they are males, the females have a duller color on their bellies, post pics but from what you posted they look like they are both males.
