the megaray sounds really good!

dose my mali need UVA along with UVB?

i havn't heard alot about UVA but some care sheets say they need it. if he dose,... dose the megaray give of any/enogh?

and that would be covering the whole ground in what?... 2, 3 inches?

UVB bulbs also emit UVA.

just remember, UVA bulbs do not produce UVB. You need a UVB bulb since it produces both

i obviosly don't know a whole lot about heat and lighting, so if you guys have any tips or heads up feel free to change the subject!

also, how do you control the humidity? lowering the humidity is probably what I need to know.

70 gallon fish tank and its only 13t and 7-8 wide are you shure about that or just guessing. you shure its not 18" tall and 12 1/2" wide? if its only 13" tall then you would need a megaray 100 watt sb or lower I have the 160 watt and its 19 inchs from the surface of my basking rock and I got perfect basking temp.

well, i'm positive that it's 49" long, and i'm pretty sure it's 13"wide
i do remember that it was pretty narrow though.

you really need to take a pic of your enclosure and post it and I can give you a better idea what lights you will need. also 13 inch is narrow for a adult uro. any chance you know someone or u can build a new enclosure. i built mine for 200.00 and I will never need another one for him.

to give you an example of tank size, my 75 gallon tank is 48"x18" and 21" tall. my 55 gallon tank is 48"x12" and 21" tall. Chances are its a 55 gallon tank, at 48"x12". Im not positive, but I dont think a 55 has enough floorspace for a adult uro.
