Heating Rocks?

This is what our member has to say: That's pretty funny actually. They cared so much about the animal they thought you had, they refused to let you buy one. I love it!...

Re: Heating Rocks ???????

I know. It's amusing now. I was so angry then, though. I kept telling them that I wasn't going to use it for a reptile, and they were like "Well, what are you going to use it for, then?"

I should have known, though. Despite that one thing with the heat rock, they were a pretty rotten pet store. One of the ones that would house several different species of lizard or snake together in these tiny little cages - all, of course, on reptibark with a teeny little water dish each. They also used to have a sign up on the wall for employees telling them to be sure to clean dead birds from the cages *every day*. Ummm... That doesn't sound good to me.

Yeah. that's scary. We may be a not-so-good store, but we don't have any signs about cleaning dead animals. the only things that die every day, are fish. We go around and "stiff the tanks" pick out all the dead fish. It's sad, but that's what happens when your tanks are over-crowded.

thats exactly what we did and how our tanks were, but mostly feeder fish. we called it the same thing you guys do. thats kind of funny because I thought it was just some weird lingo we had in our store. lol

Re: Heating Rocks ???????

depends on your temps at night in your home at night. anywhere from 72-77 would be fine for night time sleep. i would think you have heat and ac and most homes I believe on the avg are set at about 77f. i dont use anything for night time heat emitter or pad or otherwise

So did I! how funny to learn that more than one pet store calls it that. What pet store did you work for?

Re: Heating Rocks ???????

world wide. the place has been closed for about a year now because the owner of the store retired and no one could afford to buy it from him because the rent in the strip of stores we were in was just way too expensive. oh well. at least we were able to get all the animals homes.
