shedding problem?

i bought a mali about 2 months ago and I don't think he's shed. i've had the idea in my head that they shed almost like a snake and it all comes off at once, is that right?

Re: shedding problem?

Not in my experience. Generally when mine starts to shed it comes off in pieces. He's actually really good with it. I'll usually find only a few bits still clinging on to him stubbornly, which he needs help removing.

Re: shedding problem?

Sometimes it looks like they are in a constant state of shed.

Re: shedding problem?

Average probably every few months. Depends on their growth rate. Adults shed less frequently as they get older.
