white salt around nose
just wondering how often should I see the expelled salt from my malis nose. seems like its every other day is this normal? There is no salt in his diet so I dont get it. i dont see him sneezing during the day and his tank gets only to 75f at night so I woulndnt assume any kind of respitory problems. I had a iguana that did this alot also so is it normal?

Re: white salt around nose
Yep totally normal. Its called snalt, lol. Its a mixture of salt and snot. It can be cleaned off with warm water and a soft rag.

Re: white salt around nose
There are various salts naturally in the foods he eats.
Its not as if you salted his food. ![]()

Re: white salt around nose
LOL! Og I think its mainly restricted to iguana keepers!
You can't call yourself a "real" keeper till you've been snalted! Preferably in the face! ![]()
