well I have had Uri (my lizard) for roughly 6 years now and he is a very healthy lizard. he had a parasite in his stomache about 5 years ago that caused him to stop eating. but since then hes been a bigger eater then I have! lol but now, for some reason that I dont know of, he has a strange bump on his side. this wasnt there the yesterday either. i just walk in and BAM theres a bump! I have 2 lizards but gave one to my little brother being since his fish died and that one has had no occurances of this. ive done a little research and havent found anything. should I take Uri to the vet? is this something that I should be worried about?



notes:

the bump is soft and kinda squishy. has almost no resistance when I touch it. ive been feeding him kale which I havent fed him before (maybe this is a result?) i also have been taking him outside lately and hey enjoys it. i make sure he doesnt eat anything out there because I watch him carefully. ALSO when I touch this bump, hes not bothered by it at all. he just looks at me like "what are you doing to me??"

Welcome to the HC Network! If it were my Uro, I would have it looked at by a vet. It could be nothing, but it has the potential to be something serious as well.

Hmmm...could be any number of things, i'd have a vet tap it to see if i's fluid or solid, that might help them tell what it is.

I think we all agree to have a vet checkup. It's always best to do it sooner than later as it could develop into something serious.
Tell us how you have him setup. UV lights in use? How often and what do you use for supplement vitamins and minerals? Kale is something that should ne used in moderation. Like once a week, Definitely not daily.
