Ok, 110-130, you might want to get that down to an exact number not just guessing.
A 10 gallon is to small even for a hatchling, so if yours is a few months old he has no room. Hatchlings need a 20 gallon long, no smaller. Young adults need no smaller than a 45 gallon tank. So if yours is a few months old I would suggest you move him to a bigger tank. What substrate do you use? I suggest not using sand, even though they are from the desert, where they are it is more so of clay and rock. If you chose to use sand use washed beach sand or play ground sand. DO NOT USE, calci sand, walnut shells, corn cob, or man made sand from crushed rocks. 6 inches and smaller should be on a bare bottom or a butcher paper, paper towel substrate. As for the tail rot thing, i asked a few people I knew who had them and they said nothing about the tail rot, and said it wont. Also Uros shed slow, due to low humidty. Its 130 in the tank, there wont be any humidtiy. Aslong as its not on the toes you shouldnt really worry.

Your temps are a bit high for one so young. I suggest dropping to 90-120 deg. The temps you are using are best used once they reach 6 months or so and are well established. You need to create a moist microhabitat that helps to facilitate shedding. Moisture is often seen as the ultimate evil when it comes to Uros. This is totally unfounded as all life requires it. As long as they have a basking site to dry out they'll be more than healthy. I've used humid chambers with my Uros for many years and they have always had great sheds. But it is true they can shed for 2-3 weeks before finishing.

Your uro does need a bigger tank. People that keep reptiles to fit their needs instead of what is best for the animal shouldn't have them .

You might want to look at getting a bigger tank. That one he will out grow. if you really want him to be happy make him A 4'x2'x18" Enclouser.
What kind of Uro is this any way? To make a nice hide/moisthide for him a 3.3 gallon tote will do nicly, cut a hole in the side and add some wet spahm moss to it. and put the lid on. DOnt let water stand in it, just so it will be wet.

Wow, egyptians get VERY big. A 45 gallon won't be big enough either.... 45 gallon is suffiient for a mali or an ornate but the egyptials can be up to 3 times as big. As far as the tail rot... you are right, they do run the risk of having that problem. It doesn't come from giving them a soak. It is more associated with having standing water in their enclosure. If they get their tails wet and then the substrate traps that moisture into the crevices of the tail, they can end up with tail rot. Giving them a soak and then allowing adequate time out of the enclosure for the tail to dry will eliminate that risk. I have noiced that my mali will look like he is on the verge of shedding for a couple weeks before the shed actually happens... so not to worry. Just make sure that when the shedding is in process that it is a complete shed. Best of luck!
