The "Gallery" button at the top of the screen,over to the left, is how you access the HC Networks Image Gallery.

Every member of the HC Network is given a private gallery where they can store their pictures. This makes linking to the images within posts a snap!

We will break down the gallery into sections, explaining each section as we go.

Gallery Navbar
=========================

• Home
  This will bring you back to the Galleries homepage no matter where you are within the Image gallery system.

• My Stuff
  This drop menu contains items only relevant to you.

• What's New
  With this drop menu you can view the images you may have not see uploaded as well as any comments that have been made recently on some images.

• What's Popular
  With this drop menu you can view the images that have been viewed the most, rated the highest, or those with the most active discussions.

• Upload
  This is the most important link of all. This is the location where you submit your images! When you upload an image, choose the correct category. The "Member Categories" will be the likely place to add your images. The "Site Submissions" are for images you are giving to the HC network to use!

• Search
  The search feature allows you to search through the images based on their name and tags that have been added to the description.

HCN Member Categories
=========================

This category houses your personal image gallery. Once you upload a file, your own personal gallery will be created and listed based on your username. Every image you upload after that, so long as the "member categories" category is selected, will go in your personal gallery!

HCN Site Submissions
=========================

If you have a great picture and want to give it to the HC Network as an image we can use for t-shirts, calendars, etc., add it to this category. We won't use every images, and we don't know what we will use, but it would be great to have the option!

Image Uploads
=========================

• Field 1 - Upload
  This is where you select the image you wish to upload. Simply click the "Browse" button, and locate the image on your computer!

• Field 2 - Title
  You should now give your image a name in the next field. It is best to name the picture something that identifies it. This will help more people locate your images based on keywords and titles.

• Field 3 - Description
  Enter the description for this image. Perhaps it has a short story? Anything that describes the picture is sufficient.

• Field 4 - Category
  Select the category that you wish for this image to appear. If you want it to appear in your personal gallery, add it to the "HCN Member Categories".

• Field 5 - Keywords
  Enter 2-3 keywords describing the image. For example, if you have a picture of your Bearded Dragon named Pugsy, you should use the keywords "Bearded Dragon". Pugsy would only result in views if the member were searching for "Pugsy".

Browsing
=========================

The image gallery is designed to be browsed. You can choose any category and enter it. Each sub-category may also contain images. For more defined searches, use the galleries search feature. You can narrow down the images to those you wish to view!
