The HC Network uses a system that allows for the creation of usergroups.

Usergroups control how a member is allowed to use the site. Each usergroup is independently controlled. This allows us to limit or grant access to the varying parts of the site.

The Elite usergroup was created to promote members who have displayed a higher then average level of user activity on the site. Those that have posted more then 100 times were the users that received the promotion.

When a user is promoted to a new usergroup, they are often granted additional access to varying site features. This usergroup includes the following "upgrades":

• Colored Username
  These users are defined by the "Light Blue" Username Color assigned to them.
• PM Increase to 150 Saved Messages
  These users can store up to 150 private messages.
• HC Arcade Game Access Increase
  These users have access to 50 arcade games.
• HC Blog Access - Blog Creation
  These users can create and participate on the blog system.
• HC Unleashed Forums Access
  These users can participate within the Unleashed forums.
• Member Group Participation (In Creation.)
  These users can join and participate within the HC member groups.
• Profile Comment System Access
  These users can receive and leave comments on other users profiles.

Gaining 100+ posts on the HC Network is not a difficult achievement. The number of active discussions, active users, image uploads, and member introductions makes posting an easy option for most people.
