Collard greens, kale, and dandelions are my favorites to use. They're high in calcium. I *think* mustard greens are fed sometimes too, but I've never tried them. Mine really prefer the dandelion and collards to the kale though. Also, I'd get store-bought dandelion leaves if you can. Collecting them outside can be risky, as there are often pesticides, weed killers, fertilizers, and nasty stuff like that on them. Even in areas where chemicals haven't been used, you have to take into account chemical runoff from other areas. Places near roads are pretty bad too, as the pollutants from the cars can taint the leaves a bit. Maybe I'm just picky though

I'd avoid lettuce. As with many other herp diets, it's often used, but it contains little nutritional value.

I too feed mine mustard, collards, the prepared turtle pellets. crickets, waxworms on occasion, worms, fish, blackworms, bloodworms and there larvae. They will also eat meat like chicken, fish filets, and even beef but most experts say that should be limited and very lean meat.

We have planed both organic collard and mustard greens in the garden, we are the high spot in the block so we don't have to worry about run off of other peoples pesticides.

Cool Well if you ever have dandelions in your yard, they'll love those too. I get mine in my yard, but I rinse them first. If you've got a lot, like our yard does, you can save money and add healthy variety to the diet at the same time

I agree with mustard and collard greens. There are a lot of stores that sell dandylion greens now as well. All three are good choices.
