Force feeding an RES, has anyone...
ever done this? I got a RES into the rescue on Wednesday that had been run over by a car. Long story short...there's a break in her right shoulder and in the centre of her skull through her beak, she also has 2 eggs. I am soaking her twice a day for hydration and eating, she won't eat. The swelling in her face is almost gone but I'm sure is still pretty sore. Does anyone know how long an adult gravid RES can go without food?

RES are incapable of swallowing food unless they're under water. That could be part of the problem. Like a person taking a pill, they need water with their food or they can't swallow it.
The only way I can think of to feed her would be using a syringe and some softened food. You could try mashing up some turtle pellets, vitamins, and calcium and mix it with water and try squirting that in the back of her mouth. Not sure if it will work or not, but something that at least sounds like it would work.

Thanks Matt, that's what I was aftaid of. I don't want to force her mouth open because of the break, it's vertical through the beak.

She will be okay for a couple of days, when she is comfortable opening her mouth she will eat, I would get some small f/t pinkies and feed her in a shallow water dish, the pinks are soft enough that she can swallow them whole.
