My dad has three red eared sliders that hes had for over two years.
I know that he doesn't take proper care of them. He keeps their tank clean, but it is way to small for one, let alone three of them. I believe he has them in a 20 or 10 gallon aquarium. I have told him that need a bigger habitat, but he won't listen.
Anyways, this post isn't to bash my dad's husbandry skills.
By now, all of them should have reached sexual maturity. They are all still very small, way smaller than they should be. I don't think that they are big enough to mate. Even if they are sexually mature, will they attempt to mate if they are too small? When I say small, like the biggest is 3 inches I think.
I was just wondering because I know that he doesn't know their sexes.
