Plant Question
Hi I'm new here and I had a question about vines.
I will be building a 8x11 outdoor pond to start a turtle pond. Well I need to enclose the whole thing because of my 3 dogs and kids. I'm going to put in a 3ft fence around it and wanted to hide the fencing with some type of vine like morning glory's or jasmin. Do you recommend one that will not kill them. Thanks |

Re: Plant Question
Morning glories are an annual plant that will have to be replaced every year. They also will spread seeds everywhere and the seeds are a toxicity hazard.
I would go with something like the ivy that you see going up trees and the sides of houses. Or are you more interested in something with flowers?

Re: Plant Question
Welcome to the forum!!
Grape vines are safe and offer a little snack, too. You'll want to keep the snacking on the fruit themselves down to a minimum though just because they're kind of hard on the kidneys. The leaves are fine as a more frequent snack. Another is pothos, rosary vine (kinda spindly though), and I'm sure there are some more...I would just need to do a little searching.
