Baby Turtle's Arm Wont Move

my kid's baby RES ( about 1.5 inches across got a thorn stuck in it's front wrist, at least it looked like a thorn, I belive I pulled the whole thing out but its kind of hard to tell because its so small..

anyway, the arm is still limp, and not paddling, or retracting, will it be back to normal in a few days or is it done ?

thanks

I don't think any of us can tell you that for sure. It sounds like you need to get him to a vet.

I agree. If it's still not moving then I would think a vet should be found. Where would it pick up a thorn?

I have no idea wher he got it , but was stuck in his wrist, perhaps it was stinger? but I doubt it... hopefully he will be ok, he still swims around with his other legs...

IF it's bad enough that he's not using the limb at all he realy needs to go to the vet. good luck with him and keep us posted!

Be mindful of where you live though sporting a turtle. Some areas they're illegal to own...whether native or non-native. The entire state of TN banned from owning, selling, trading and bartering chelonia unless your a turtle farm selling outside of the state.
