many wild caught reptiles could be considered 'friendly' around people.

aggressiveness isn't only defined by whether or not a reptile is wild caught or captive bred. its more of a species trait.
i had a captive bred rat snake that would strike at anybody any chance it got, even though it was only a foot long.
i've found wild painted turtles and box turtles that wouldn't hide in there shells for more then a min while being held.
all the captive bred snapping turtles i've seen would still try to eat your fingers if they were big enough to.
i've found wild garter snakes that did nothing but slither around in my hands even though they could eat large mice.

Re: RES Tank

I would have to agree with zaroba, you can't say it's CB because you didn't see, buy, or get it frome someone who knew, but as long as you provide what it needs you should be able to keep it with no problems.

P.S. I would love to see some pictures of the turtle. Have you named it yet? Have you found every thing you need?

Re: RES Tank

ya but RES aren't native to califorina, so it's probably not wild or at least desended from a pet turtle.

Red eared sliders are an invasive species in much of the US due to irresponsible people releasing pets that they were not equipped to care for in the first place.

Re: RES Tank

there are RES's in california that is true(have you seen the rob and big episode where they find a whole bunch of wild ones? that is in LA). there aren't any water sources around where they live that would have RES's in it. not only that but I have never heard or seen of any RES's in bakersfield. but who knows, he could've been on one heck of a journey. i'm just going off the facts that I have right now.

he does have a name, BJ aka. boss jr. hahaha and yeah they got all of his stuff. next time i'm over there i'll snap some photos!
