My turtles ate their first crickets!

Today I went to PetSmart to buy my turtles' food, when I came across a little container of live medium/large crickets. I decided to buy them, to see if my turtles would like them. I bought them, gut-loaded them with bananas, carrots, lettuce, flake fish food, turtle food, and gammarus. I fed one to Sky, the most picky eater, and she loved them. I fed each turtle one cricket, they all loved them.
It was pretty violent how Shadow tore the cricket's head off, lol. Sunny was a bit scared of their twitching legs, though. Soldier almost tore little Sky's head off trying to steal her cricket.
They liked the crickets, so I've decided I should start breeding them so I won't have to go to the pet store so much to get them. Any tips on breeding crickets?

if you do'nt want to breed them, you can get them for about 2.5 cents a cricket if you order them online in bulk. Not sure how much your turtles are going to go through though. My frogs eat about 500 a month.

And if you do order them online get smaller than what you would normally need.
Crickets only live for about 8 weeks so they grow pretty quickly.

Re: My turtles ate their first crickets!

right, you can always feed your turtles smaller crickets, they'll just eat more.

Breeding is cheaper. *WARNING* crickets SMELL.
